OPTIONS FOR OUR FINAL PROJECT

For our final project we could choose to create either a trailer, a short film or a music video. The one that stood out the most was a trailer and we decided that we'd create this as a group. We will each be highly involved in creating the trailer and will work as a close group to make it a successful as we can by bringing our ideas together.

Chase Sequence | Audience Responses

We got Mr Wood to look at our chase sequence and asked what we should improve on. We all agreed that the sequence would be better if we had spent more time editing as it was very messy. I think this is something that we will think of when creating a trailer in the future. I also think adding music to the chase scene would have made it more interesting and would have worked well.

We also asked some other students to take a look at our chase sequences and found out their responses.

CHASE SEQUENCE

Preliminary Task

We had the chance to practice using the recording equipment for a moving image as this is something we hadn't done in the past. We had the task of filming a chase sequence and learnt how to use the camera properly and how to change setting etc. We filmed the short piece around some trees. This task was very helpful as it gave us the chance to attempt filming something that is moving and not standing still which we have done in the past when creating audience reviews.

STARTING A2

Beginning my work for A2
So far this year I have decided to create a short horror trailer, while working with Jodie Birkbeck, Laura Naylor and Ashley Billingham. We decided doing this project for our course work as a group as well all work well together and all have the same interests when creating something like this. Now that we have our idea of making a horror trailer we have to discuss and research into this idea more. We currently have a few ideas which will be posted on my blog soon.

The ancillary tasks hat will go with out horror trailer will be a poster and magazine article which will include reviews from the horror film. Once I have complete all four of my analysis tasks I will begin to research all four of my trailers and posters and will then create my own.
